We are interested in adding items of historical significance to our New Haven Ohio History League archives so we can better understand the history of the community and bring it to life in our stories and pictures. IF YOU HAVE old pictures, postcards, letters, family albums or other artifacts of interest that you would like to donate to the League please package them and drop them in the mail or send us an email with scans or pics of your items so we can evaluate your treasures. Donate Artifacts – Masonic, I.O.O.F. and other club regalia, Family photo albums, scrap books, tools and anything that was once a personal treasure that tells a story about New Haven’s forgotten past.
Donate Documents – Letters, certificates, church and school records, business receipts or advertisements, newspapers, diaries, family bibles, wedding announcements, school annuals, obituaries or any printed material that is related to the history of New Haven and the Township.
Donate Photographs - Picture taking has been going on for a very long time. If you have pictures of family, reunions, school class graduations or any pertinent images that will help tell the story of New Haven over the years, we urge you to let us add them to the League’s archives. If you prefer to keep your original pictures, please let us scan them and make reproductions for our files.
Donate Memories – Do you have tid-bits of local stories and events that you would like to commit to pencil and paper and donate to the League? Not everyone totes and camera every day, but we all live and breath and experience the life of the community every day. Put your memoirs in writing and share them with us.
Please Remember – New Haven had bands, saloons, tanneries, a foundry, a bottling works, general stores, Fraternal organizations, A number of Churches, a blacksmith shop, grist mills and of course farms beginning way back in 1813. There are two centuries of commerce and activity that make up New Haven’s story. Please help us find and preserve New Haven’s treasures.
